FER Spring Team Building Activities
As the weather starts to warm up and the sun starts shining a little longer each day, it’s time to start thinking about fun and engaging spring team building activities that you and your colleagues can use to help shake the winter blues.
Last month, all the office colleagues from FER houseware went on a trip to Jiangmen Gulou Waterfront Resort.
Apply the theme of “ Living By The Water “, and build “Gulou Waterfront” into the most beautiful Lingnan waterfront in China and the benchmark for cultural and ecological tourism destination in the Guangdong-Hong Kong -Macao Greater Bay Area.
The overall planning of the project covers and area of 10 square kilometers, of which 3 square kilometers are the main scenic spots. Including 10 vacation theme scenes: Henghai Cruise, Gulou Bazzar, Children’s Dream Wonderlang, Countryside time, Agricultural Park , Barefoot Park, Wetland Park, 13th square, resort hotel, Riviera,and “A museum without walls” combined with the agricultural cultural heritage activation zone and Wing Chun cultural heritage activation zone.
First , we participated "Drifting in Dream Boat Tour" this interesting boat trip. Boat tour is 6 kilometers long and takes about 45 minutes to travel. By travelling the three scenes of “go to the market”, “go fishing and farming”and “visit the art exhibition”, we can enjoy Gulou’s sea of flowers and green corridors, small bridges and running water, frogs and birds chirping, running water and so forth. Along the way, we can also see other unique features in the Waterfront, such as the water wheel, melon and fruit scaffolding, silkworm rearing scaffolding, fishing nets, scarecrows, thatched huts, wooden man piles, plum blossom piles, etc.
Then we walked around the Gulouxu Commercial Street. There is Donglai Street, which displays farming, utensils, special products and production skills, Wing Chun Street, which showcases the history of Gulou and Wing Chun martial art, Chahang Street, which tells Gulou’s past and present, full of reminiscence and romance... Combine the styles of Lingnan architecture such as watchtower, arcade tower and courtyard, AJi cold tea shop, dragon boat cultural and creative hall, Wing Chun hall, theme restaurant and other featured shops are planned. Here, it is as if we travel through time and space to yesterday’s Gulouxu, Listen to the stories of Gulou on a cultural tour.
Our colleagues learned a lot about the history and culture of Gulou Waterfront. At the same time, from the main architectural form of the lotus leaf and the traditional Lingnan architectural features, we also found elements of product design and applied them to our fruit basket,napkin holder, utensil holderetc. Everyone had an amazing time exploring nature and spending time together!
