On May 9, LinkedIn, Microsoft's workplace social platform, announced that it was shutting down its entire China business and was about to start laying off employees in China.

The LinkedIn Enterprise number on Pulse shows that Linking employs more than 10,000 people, and there are currently 754 employees on Pulse with a total of 2,692 followers. Given that Pulse's business only provides services in China and may have unregistered employees, the number of layoffs in China may exceed 700.

Also on May 8, Reuters reported that Link will lay off 716 employees due to fluctuating demand.

On May 9, the Times reporter contacted the official customer service of Collage, asking about the follow-up business and the handling of personal information, the other side gave a reply "August 9 will be closed, personal accounts require personal operation to remove information, the recruitment accounts purchased by companies will not be affected for the time being."

In the announcement, LinkedIn said that its business strategy in China will focus entirely on helping Chinese companies find and hire international talent and improve their talent skills overseas, and helping Chinese companies build international brands for their products and services and expand into overseas markets. Linkage will continue to deepen its focus on the Chinese market and continue to support the globalization of Chinese companies through its Linkage Talent and Marketing solutions, as well as its Linkage Learning solutions, which will be coming to mainland China later this year.

This also means that the company will no longer provide services to C-tier users in the China region only to B-tier users.

About the subsequent personal account in the workplace news, May 9 Times reporter called the official customer service, the other side said "from August 9 to officially stop service, you need to personally log in to remove the message." The Times reporter noted that the notice issued by Linking showed that "after August 9, Linking will delete all personal account data of Linking Job Market, and no longer support any personal job posting and Linking recruitment-related services.
