XXXLutz Completes Acquisition of Poland's Black Red White Fer House

XXXLutz has completed the acquisition of the Polish furniture group Black Red White (BRW for short), further expanding its market presence in Poland. As one of the world's largest retailers in this industry, the Austrian company had already acquired a 50% stake in BRW back in 2022 and has now achieved full ownership. However, this transaction still needs to obtain approval from competition authorities, and the financial details have not yet been disclosed. 

BRW operates 82 stores, 78 of which are located in Poland. It also has a sales network consisting of approximately 300 retail partners. The company has a total of over 5,000 employees, and its products are exported to more than 30 countries. Despite the acquisition, BRW "will continue to operate and manage independently". 

Mariusz Sosnierz, Chief Executive Officer of BRW, stated that in the highly competitive market environment, especially in the field of online furniture sales, joining XXXLutz "provides the best conditions" for BRW's future development. He emphasized that strong partnerships and investments are crucial for achieving success in this industry. Thomas Saliger, spokesperson for XXXLutz, welcomed the integration of the two parties and emphasized that the group is committed to the coordinated development of physical retail and online retail. 

He mentioned that consumers value both the in-store consultation and the experience of testing furniture before purchase, as well as the convenience brought by e-commerce. Saliger further added that BRW's production facilities will benefit from XXXLutz's extensive layout across 14 European countries, which will create numerous opportunities for BRW "across Europe".
